Jeff is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. He has been writing music since he started playing guitar in the seventh grade. Jeff makes nutritious music for you to enjoy. So…enjoy!
Jeff Fein's musical journey began when his parents signed him up for piano lessons at the age of 5.
He didn't practice much, and he would often hide under the bed when the piano teacher arrived. His parents agreed that they probably should have signed him up for karate instead.
But it was these lessons that laid the foundation for a lifetime love of musical exploration and songwriting.
Jeff ditched the piano for a while, but while in middle school, he realized that playing the guitar was pretty cool. He started strumming his mom’s old classical guitar that someone found in a closet. He took some lessons and got pretty good!
Jeff played guitar in various bands throughout high school and college. After graduating from Colgate University in 2007, Jeff started a band called The Gibbs with his college roommates, and they played shows in the Boston area for several years. Around this time, Jeff developed an unhealthy obsession with Ben Folds and rediscovered the joy of playing the piano.
Ultimately, the bandmates went their separate ways and Jeff decided to follow in his father’s footsteps to pursue a career in medicine. What a story!
While in medical school, Jeff began recording original music. Over thirty songs later, he’s finally to share his music with the world.
When not playing music, Jeff enjoys playing tennis and basketball, and going out to eat at vegan restaurants. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and making funny jokes. Jeff lives in New York City. He doesn’t have any children, but he has an assortment of houseplants that he loves dearly.
Overall, he’s a pretty cool dude.

For the last two years, Jeff has been back in the studio, recording new music and re-recording older songs.
To celebrate his 40th year on planet Earth, Jeff will be releasing new music every month (ish) leading up to his 40th birthday on December 11th, 2024.
